CHRISTY A. RAINWATER M.ED, LPCC-S, NCC

 Christy is the owner of Wolf Creek Counseling Services, LLC, located in Nancy, a small rural town in South Central, Kentucky. She attended Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia, Kentucky graduating with Honors, attained a Master of Education degree with a specialization in Mental Health Counseling and Human Development in 2004. She is a fully Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor (LPCC-S) in the Commonwealth State of Kentucky and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She can also provide Targeted Case Management services. 

Christy has over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with ADHD, anger, anxiety, defiance, depression, trauma, grief, mood cycling, sleep problems, and ongoing life stressors. She provides mainly telehealth therapy throughout Kentucky and local in person sessions if necessary. Christy works from a person-centered approach that incorporates and encourages growth, self-exploration, decision making, coping with consequences, and working toward self-actualization. She collaborates with individuals to identify and enlist their internal strengths and resources to approach life’s challenges. 

Christy is down to earth, realistic, and genuine in the therapeutic process. Her empathy and warmth help to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can process and heal. She enjoys nature, farm life, scenic photography, concerts, car shows, and spending time with family and friends. Therapy looks different for all individuals, and we will work together to create a plan to reach your goals.
